History
Following the decline of Hecla Furnace in 1866, the hotel transitioned to new owners, including Christina Hubler and her descendants, who turned it into more of a boarding house. Regina Hubler ran it until her passing in 1913, after which ownership transferred through several hands. In the 1920s, major renovations took place, and the building became known as "Ye Old Tavern."
Throughout the 20th century, the hotel changed ownership multiple times, with improvements made in the 1960s and beyond. The Ventura family purchased and restored it in 2003, transforming the second floor into a bed and breakfast. In 2007, Andi Heidt took over, rebranding it as the Hublersburg Inn, which remains a well-loved local establishment known for its cozy atmosphere and quality food.
